The Solinst Integra Bladder Pump is a reliable, high-performance pump providing high quality samples, and meets even the strictest US EPA standards for VOC groundwater monitoring.
The pump's bladder was designed to prevent all drive air and gas from coming into contact with the sample, ensuring that degassing and contamination are never an issue. With a Teflon® construction that is designed to be durable and rugged, the bladders are perfect for dedicated use. Cheaper polyethylene bladders are also available for those who need to change bladders regularly. In the field, both types of bladders can be replaced quickly and easily without special tools.
The stainless steel pumps are ideal for either low or regular-flow sampling, lifting from depths of up to 500 ft (150 m) below grade. The PVC-based pump is capable of operating up to 100 ft (30 m) below grade.

Low Flow Purge Sampling

Because it reduces turbulence, low-flow sampling produces high-quality samples; it also reduces the time and money required to collect samples by minimising purge volumes. When used with a Solinst Model 464 Electronic Pump Control Unit, the Integr Bladder Pump can be adjusted to continuously output up to 100 ml per minute.
Using a Flow-Through Cell System during low-flow sampling makes the analysis of purge water possible as it is flowing through the line. In fact, as soon as readings stabilise, low-flow sampling can begin. Packers are also available for those who wish to speed up the sampling process further by lowering purge volumes.

408 Double valve pump

The Solinst Double Valve Pump (DVP) is a pneumatic-drive pump that consistently provides high-quality samples. Field tested in thousands of different applications, the DVP is extremely reliable, never requiring bladder replacement. It generates pumping rates higher than the Solinst Integra Bladder, is available in a variety of sizes and materials.
Suitable for both low and regular variable flow rates, the DVP makes sampling easy. The stainless-steel pumps are capable of operating at depths up to 500 ft (150 m), and the PVC models can operate at depths up to 100 ft (30 m).

Applications

Low Flow Sampling

With exceptional VOC retention, the DVP provides results comparable to bladder-based pumps. If used with the Solinst Model 466 Electronic Pump Controller, adjustments can be made to the DVP so that it continuously generates an output of up to 100 ml per minute.

Non-Vertical Applications
The DVP is capable of operating at almost any angle. It can be placed under storage tanks, landfills, tailings, plumes, and more.

Leachate/Product Pumping
Pneumatic-drive pumps such as the DVP, are ideal for pumping contaminated liquids. Hydrocarbons and solvents, for instance, can be pumped by the DVP quickly and easily. The DVP is even capable of pumping fluids that contain high levels of solid content.

408 Mini double valve pump
Because of its flexibility and small size, the Micro DVP is incredibly easy to transport and install. It was designed to be small and flexible. With a diameter of only 10 mm, it is compatible with 13 mm tubing and all channels of Solinst Model 403 CMT Systems. Perfect for low-flow sampling in narrow, down-hole applications, the Micro DVP provides flow rates of 20 to 150 ml per minute without producing excessive purge volumes. When used with the Solinst Model 466 Electronic Control Unit, pre-sets and fine-tubing capabilities make the Micro DVP easy to operate.

Operation
Formation water enters through the Micro DVP's filter due to hydrostatic pressure in the inner Teflon tube and the annulus of the coaxial tubes. To close the lower check valve and force water into the sample tube, drive gas/air is then cycled down the annular space located between the two tubes. The pump then vents so that new formation water is able to enter both tubes under hydrostatic pressure. At all times, the pressure of gas/air is monitored and controlled to ensure that the air/water interface is never able to enter the pump's body. The pressure/vent cycle is then repeated to bring a high-quality sample to the surface in a regulated manner.

Applications
CMT and Waterloo Multilevel Systems
Narrow diameters for low-flow sampling
Direct-Push/Drive-Points

Advantages
Only 10 mm in diameter
Flexible Teflon® tubing makes it easy to install in almost all locations
Readily dedicated and inexpensive
Perfect for narrow applications

410 peristalic pump

The 410 Peristaltic Pump is designed for vacuum pumping as well as the pressurized delivery of either liquids or gases. Built for field use, its reversible flow is perfect for sampling surface water from locations such as shallow wells.
Measuring 13” x 5” x 6 ˝” (33 cm x 13 cm x 17 cm) and weighing only 8 lbs (3.6 Kg), the 410 Peristaltic Pump is incredibly lightweight and compact. With a robust case, a handle, and an accessible control, the 410 Peristaltic Pump is perfect for fieldwork and easy to maintain. The lack of grates or vents also makes the 410 water resistant.
Rotating rollers are used during mechanical peristaltic operation to depress the silicon tubing. This creates a vacuum that displaces liquid or gas in the direction chosen. Effective up to the suction-lift limit (which is affected by elevation) the 410 Peristaltic Pump is capable of performing well in depths up to 33 ft (10 m) at sea level.
Sampling Rates
Compatible with 2 different sizes of silicon tubing and capable of pumping at variable rates, the 410 Peristaltic Pump is suitable for several applications. For example, with the optional 3/8” (10 mm) OD tubing, the pump provides sample rates from 40 ml per minute to 900 ml per minute, which is perfect for low-flow sampling and compact sample bottles. When using 5/8” (16 mm) OD tubing, pumping rates range from 120 ml per minute to nearly 3.5 L per minute.
When used in combination with the Solinst Drive-Point Profiler (Model 660), the 410 Peristaltic Pump's reverse action is excellent for back flushing.
Applications
Groundwater sampling from shallow wells and similar locations
Vapour sampling
Surface-water sampling

Powered by 4 AA alkaline batteries, the 464 Electronic Pump Control Unit is able to operate for up to 100 hours. If batteries drain in the field, the pump-control unit can be operated manually from a source of compressed gas.
The 464 Electronic Pump Control Unit is available in 125 psi and 250 psi versions, both featuring automatic flow rates. Additionally, 99 custom-made flow rates can be saved in the control unit's FRAM memory. Samples can be collected at up to 100 ml per minute, and when sampling for a Volatile Organic Compound (VOC), the unit speeds its purge rates and allows for precise low-flow control to ensure that representative samples are collected.
Well suited for all environments, these pump-control units are robust and reliable. Quick-connect fittings make it easy to link dedicated well caps, portable reel units, and sources of compressed gas to the 464.

Operating Principles
The 464 regulates the amount of compressed gas supplied to pneumatic pumps, such as bladder and double-valve pumps. To generate better water flow, drive and vent periods are cycled. During drive periods, water is forced into the sample tubing with pressure from compressed gas. During vent periods, water flows back into the pump. The repetition of this cycle can be controlled manually or automatically.
